Dale Albert Berg, 74, born in Albert Lea, Minnesota on October 17, 1949 to Kenneth and Marvel (nee Fratzke) Berg, led a life filled with service and dedication. He died Thursday, June 27, 2024 at Northwest Community Hospital, in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Dale was a financial consultant by profession. His greatest pride was being a devoted husband to his wife Sharon and father to his sons. He found great happiness spending time and sharing stories of his four grandchildren. Dale's devotion extended beyond his family. He served his country with honor in the Army, during the Vietnam War, and was awarded a Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars with V Device. His bravery and commitment to his country were exemplary, serving in the 25th Infantry Division, 27th Infantry Regiment - known as the Wolfhounds.
Locally, Dale was a fixture in the veteran's community. He was the Commander of the Arlington Heights American Legion Merle Guild Post #208. Dale wa
